March 2017 Java Jam



The next Java Jam will be Friday, March 31, Milan St Coffee, Wharton, 6-9 pm. Our musician guest Mike Stroup, Moravia, Texas, returns with some special performer friends of his own to boot, a duo known as Southern Light.
Southern Light, led by Reta and Ron Rebstock, offers a refreshing variety of Texas-style music suitable for any occasion. The group showcases male and female vocal harmony supported by precision instrumentals on banjo, guitar and bass. Repertoire consists of the most popular songs from the following music categories: Western Swing, Bluegrass, Country, Cajun, Easy Listening, and Traditional Texas favorites. Versatility of performance along with a highly professional attitude has enabled Southern Light to please audiences of all ages for more than 35 years.
Southern Light is capable of tailoring the performance format to fit a wide range of entertainment requirements, from 2-piece acoustic strolling to 5-piece fully amplified. Experience and flexibility makes the entertainment of requests a priority, and the overall success of the event the primary goal. For a smooth, clean sound and a sharp, Texas look, Southern Light is it!
Come join us for Wharton’s most unique dining/live entertainment venue. Just bring a covered dish with a little extra to share and $15 per person cover charge. The first set is 6 pm, followed by the always delicious buffet at 7 pm and the Java Jam set from 8 to 9pm. OK to bring your own wine or beer.
