JAVA JAM FRIDAY, JAN 25, 6 PM, FEATURES A “MELODY MASTER”
Melody Kirschke, singer/songwriter/keyboard artist, has been heard around the square before but seldom “up close and personal” like she will be at this month’s Java Jam. Locals as well as “soon to be fans” will get a personal concert with the lovely musician and find out things they never knew about her background.
Though Melody has been performing since the age of 3, it wasn’t until 2007 when she discovered a “hidden” voice and love for soft jazz. She began gigging on the weekends at a popular Houston Galleria venue and since that time has professionally polished this brand of singing & writing. She has written over 300 songs, been featured throughout America and 15 European Tours.
Putting her unique style & signature on each song, Melody beautifully covers classics such as “Wonderful World,” “Unforgettable,” “Nature Boy,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Over the Rainbow.” “At Last,” And many more! Her covers also include modern hits such as “Someone Like You,” “If I Aint Got You,” “A Thousand Years” “This Love,” & “Glitter in the Air.”
In addition to such a vast bouquet of covers, Melody is always sure to include a few of her dynamic originals, born out of either past experiences, present realities or future dreams and presented with her unique excellence, charisma and charm.
Melody is working to produce a new CD, her eighth, to be released sometime this year, featuring this new sought after sound. That’s Friday, Jan 25, 6 to 9 pm. Bring a covered dish and $15 per person to experience Wharton’s most popular dining/music experience.
